Workwear Sampling Process

For medium and large workwear distributors supplying the USA and Europe.

The sample is the contract you can hold. The website photo is not. Fit the sample on a person, in daylight, before you release bulk.

What you should check

  • Pocket height and pocket mouth.
  • Zip direction and the storm flap, if there is one.
  • Label text, spelling, and position.
  • Color against your swatch in daylight, not under a warm lamp.
  • Any tape path, measured, not guessed from a photo.

What written approval should say

Name the style code, the comments that are closed, and the comments that are still open. “Approved with the collar raised 1 cm, no other change” is useful. “Looks fine” is how the next argument starts. Bulk follows that note and the deposit. Lead time is often 30–45 days after that point, and the date on the confirmation is the one to use.

Questions on this guide

How long is a sample?

Confirmed when we accept the request. Catalog-close styles are often about one to two weeks, longer if the cloth is not in stock.

Is a sample the same price as bulk?

The sample is a development piece. The bulk price is the slab on the approved spec, confirmed on the invoice.

What if I want a change after approval?

Mark it as a revision. A new pocket or a tape path can need another sample.
