Automotive Workwear Guide
For medium and large workwear distributors supplying the USA and Europe.
Workshop buyers usually send a coverall with a tool pocket and a place for a knee pad. They are not asking for a fashion jumpsuit, and they should not assume the cloth is flame resistant because the color is dark.
What to specify
AT-102 is the cotton drill coverall with knee pockets, a tool pocket, and a storm flap. Use it when the reference is heavier than the polycotton AT-101. AT-301 is the hip-length canvas jacket for the yard and for drivers. Fleece lining is a separate quote.
If the site rule says the garment must meet an FR standard, stop and open the flame-resistant styles. Do not order AT-102 and describe it as FR in your own catalog.
Questions on this guide
Is the cotton coverall flame resistant?
No. AT-102 is cotton drill. FR is AT-1201 and only against a standard you name.
What if the mechanic needs a bib, not a coverall?
Use the bib overalls. They are a different pattern from the boiler suit.
Can pockets be moved?
Yes, on a sample. A pocket move is a construction change, not a free edit after bulk is cut.
