Private Label Workwear: What to Send Your Sialkot Factory

For medium and large workwear distributors supplying the USA and Europe.

Private label, on this site, means your brand on the garment and your construction as far as the sample can match it. It does not mean we invent a brand story for you. You send the mark, the sizes, and the way the garment is built. We sew it and put your label in.

A tech pack, or a substitute that still works

A useful tech pack has a sketch or photo, measurements, cloth, trim, stitch notes, and the art for the label. Many first-time importers do not have one. A substitute that still works is a reference garment couriered to Sialkot, or a set of photos plus a short note: fabric, quantity, and construction. Front, back, inside neck, and a close photo of any pocket that is not obvious are enough to start a sample conversation.

Write measurements in centimeters or inches and say which. A “large” from a USA brand and a “large” from a EU brand are not the same body. If you sell into one market, send that market’s size chart or three samples of your current best seller in S, L, and 2XL.

Labels, embroidery, and print

Choose one primary method for the first order. A woven neck label is the usual base. Embroidery on the chest is the usual logo. Print is common on hi-vis and on budget programs. Asking for all three on a 50-piece pilot makes the sample slower and the piece price less like the guide rate.

Send the logo as a vector or a clean PNG, and state the width in centimeters. “A small logo” is not a size. Also state the color of the stitch or the print, and whether it must match a Pantone. If you do not have a Pantone, send a physical trim or accept that the sample is the color standard for the bulk.

What stays in your brand’s control

  • The name on the label and the care text. We will not invent care symbols. Send them.
  • The size range and the ratio. Tell us how many of each size.
  • The polybag print, if the bag is part of the brand. Plain bags are the default.
  • Hangtags. If you supply them, say when they will arrive. If we print them, send the art.
  • Any legal line you must show in your market. We do not know your labeling law.

What we need in order to quote

The quote form asks for fabric, quantity, and construction because those three decide the EX-WORKS number. Private label adds artwork and positions. A jacket with a neck label only can stay close to the guide price. A jacket with embroidery, a printed hangtag, and a custom carton mark will not. Ask for those as separate lines so you can see the garment and the branding apart.

MOQ remains 50 per style and color for a new program. Your label does not lower it. If you have two brands and one pattern, they are still one style only when the cloth, color, and construction match. Different cloth is a different style.

When the sample comes back, compare it to your reference with a tape measure and wear it for an hour if you can. Approve in writing. Bulk follows that approval, not the mood of an earlier email. Repeat orders of the same private label should quote the style code so the label art and the stitch stay put.

Packing is part of the brand

Export packing on the guide price is a folded garment in a plain polybag and a standard carton. If the retailer needs a barcode, a size sticker, an assorted-size carton, or a printed bag, say so in the construction notes. Those steps are handling. They belong on the quote as their own lines. A buyer who discovers the bag requirement after the bulk is sewn pays for a second handling pass in Sialkot.

What “approved” has to say

Approve the sample with a short list: measurements that passed, stitch that passed, logo position, and color. If something failed, mark the photo. “Approved with comments” is not a clear instruction unless the comments say what must change and what may stay. Bulk is cut from that written approval. A later message that changes a pocket is a new sample, not a note to the sewing line. Lead time after that approval is often 30–45 days, and the order confirmation carries the date.

Private label applies to every category, not only jackets. A chef jacket, a security shirt, and a hi-vis vest can all carry your label. Start from the closest style code so the guide EX-WORKS price is a real baseline, then send the artwork with the quote. We reply with a confirmed USD price. We do not replace the guide table with a guess.
