How to Import Workwear from Pakistan
For medium and large workwear distributors supplying the USA and Europe.
A first workwear order from Sialkot is a specification exercise, not a shopping cart. You send a garment or a clear description. The factory sews a sample. You approve it. Bulk follows at an EX-WORKS price in USD. Arrown Trading works this way on coveralls, hi-vis, jackets, trousers, and the other uniform categories on this site.
This page is for a buyer placing that first order. If you already have a style code with us, use the reorder guide instead. The steps below are the same ones we ask for on the quote form: fabric, quantity, and construction.
What EX-WORKS means on this site
Every price in the catalog is a guide EX-WORKS rate from Sialkot, in US dollars, per piece. EX-WORKS means the garment is packed and ready at our place. Courier freight, sea freight, insurance, and import duty are not inside that number. Buyers who compare a Pakistani factory with a USA wholesale program should compare like with like: factory gate versus a domestic warehouse price that already includes freight and the importer’s margin.
The four columns on each product — 50, 250, 1,000, and 5,000 pieces — are for one style in one color on the standard construction written on that page. A second color, a knit cuff, reflective tape, or embroidery moves the price. We confirm the figure before you pay a deposit. The number on the website is a starting rate so you can see whether the program is in range.
Minimums
The minimum on a new style is 50 pieces per style and color. That is enough for a trial program and small enough that a distributor can test one colorway. If you need three colors, the minimum applies to each. A 50-piece order of navy and a 50-piece order of black are two minimums.
Higher slabs are where the piece price drops. Moving from 50 to 250, then to 1,000 and 5,000, spreads setup, cutting, and packing across more units. Send the quantity you can actually receive. Ordering 5,000 on paper and shipping 50 does not hold the 5,000-piece rate.
What to send with the inquiry
- A tech pack, a reference garment, or sharp photos of front, back, and any special pocket.
- Fabric: polycotton, cotton, ripstop, fleece, softshell, or “advise me”.
- Quantity on the slab you want, and how many colors.
- Construction notes in plain language: pockets, tape, hood, knee pads, or “same as the photo”.
- Branding: none, woven label, embroidery, or print. Say where the mark sits.
- Size run. If you do not have one, say the market (USA, UK, EU) and we will propose a run with the sample.
- Your company, country, email, and WhatsApp number.
You do not need a finished tech pack to start. A buyer who writes “same as the navy coverall in the photos, 250 pieces, polycotton, woven label at the neck” will get a useful reply. A buyer who writes only “send prices” will get the same guide rates already printed on the product page.
Sample, then bulk
We sew a sample against the notes you approved. Sample time is confirmed when we accept the request. It is often around one to two weeks for a style close to a catalog garment, longer if the cloth is not in stock. Check the sample on a person, not only on a table. Look at pocket height, zip direction, label text, and color under daylight.
Bulk lead time is often 30–45 days after sample approval and the deposit. That range is typical, not a promise. A dyed-to-match color, a special FR cloth, or a holiday in the production calendar can add time. The date on your order confirmation is the one to plan around.
Payment and shipping
International buyers pay by bank transfer (T/T) or Payoneer. A letter of credit is available for qualifying orders subject to prior agreement. We do not take card checkout on this website. The method is agreed with the proforma invoice.
Export shipping is by courier or by sea, arranged on the order. Courier partners buyers already know are DHL, FedEx, UPS, and DPD. Small sample cartons usually go by courier. A 1,000-piece coverall order is often sea freight unless you ask for air. Tell us the destination city when you ask for a freight estimate. The EX-WORKS price itself will not change because of the port you choose.
First-order checklist
- Pick the closest catalog style, or say the garment is fully custom.
- Choose a quantity slab you can warehouse.
- Name fabric, color count, and branding.
- Approve the sample in writing, with comments marked on photos.
- Confirm EX-WORKS price, size breakdown, packing, and lead time on the invoice.
- Pay the deposit by one of the methods above.
- Book courier or sea freight before the goods are finished, not after they are sitting in cartons.
If you are comparing several Sialkot factories, ask each one for the same three lines: cloth and GSM, price at your real quantity, and whether the rate is EX-WORKS. Those three lines make the offers comparable. Start with coveralls or hi-vis vests if you want a simple first program. Both are on the catalog with the four price slabs shown.
